Make the most of your summer break through the Summer Reading Program!

From June 1-July 31, expect engaging events, entertaining activities, and, of course, a LOT of reading. 

Take a look at everything we've got to offer!

READING | What's better than a summer spent reading? Getting credit for it, too!

The first two books you read will earn you a fun prize! Quantities are limited, so grab yours fast! Two books read ALSO earns an entry into the Grand Prize district drawing plus an entry into your Branch Prize drawing. 

After that, every additional two books read in June and July earns another entry into your Branch Prize drawing, up to 11 entries (22 books read).

Track the books through Beanstack, or, with a paper log from your branch.

The prize details: 

With 3 Grand Prizes possible, each with a value of $200, participation in the program is a no-brainer! Grand Prize winners can choose $200 worth of gift cards from the Fox Theater, Busch Stadium, St. Louis City Soccer Club, Union Station, or a $100 membership to the Zoo. Branch Prizes are valued at $50 each. Drawings for both will be held on August 7. Only one Grand Prize winner per branch.

Prizes will be distributed at the end of the Summer Reading Program. Paper reading logs and Beanstack reading logs must be submitted by July 31.

Summer Kickoff Rally

June 1, JCL - Arnold, 2:30-4:30 PM

Kick off the summer with outdoor games, temporary tattoos, crafts, and more.

Kona Ice will be on-site from 3:00-4:00 PM, and every attendee will receive a $1 off Kona coupon for use at the event.

For all ages!

Summer Kickoff

Stop by to see Open Door Animal Sanctuary and some of their animal friends. A balloon twister and a face painter will add to the fun. And don't forget to grab some cotton candy!

We'll also help you register for the summer reading program or learn how to log your books/hours!

Best Laid Plans Murder Mystery

Whodunnit? (Or was it you??) Solve it all, with a side of suspense, at this Murder Mystery event!

Puzzle Races

What could fit our All Together Now summer reading program theme better than puzzles?! Teams compete to see who can complete a puzzle the fastest. Prizes and bragging rights are on the line!

For teams of two to five people, ages 10 and up.

Watch a K-9 demo from a Sheriff's Deputy and his K-9 partner, and, see a fire truck up close!

This is an outside event, and participants are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
