The library welcomes suggestions for additions to our collection from our cardholders.  Please check the library catalog to make sure JCL doesn't already own the item before placing your request.  If you are interested in an item that was published more than six months ago, please submit an interlibrary loan request.  This will make sure that your request to receive an item is processed through the best avenue for timely service.

To request that JCL purchase an item that is less than six months old, please fill out the Recommend to Order form online or contact your local branch.  If the library does decide to purchase the requested item you will be automatically placed on hold for it.  It may take a few weeks for the order decision to be made and processed.  The hold will not show on your account until after this has been done.  Purchasing decisions are made based on the library's Collection Development Policy and budgetary concerns.  If the library is unable to purchase the item, you will be notified as soon as the decision is made.
